Where do domain sellers get their domains?

What is at the top of this ladder? I buy a domain name from, say, GoDaddy, where do they get theirs? Is it just space on their servers, or do they buy it from some larger company? Is there a never ending chain of companies? Ok now I’m just being silly, but my question remains. Where do domain sellers get their domains to sell?

Where can i sell my domains for free?

I want a place where i can post my domains for free. So that when someone types in my domain name they go to a page that gives them my info and lets them know my domain and other domains i am selling. Also, i dont want to pay any fees or commisions to the site that helps me sell the domains. Any one know of a website?

is there a way to change your web hosting company?

Lets say you get your website with the web hosting company A, are you able to switch your web hosting company to a different one? and are you able to delete your domain name once you don’t want it anymore? thanks

How can you find out what domains an individual owns?

I own a few domain names, all through Yahoo!, and 2 of them are set to private registration… however, an individual (who is a terrible person) recently found one of the domains that is private and won’t leave me alone. I can’t figure out how they found me. Any ideas on how I can search for domain name owners? I tried whois.com and couldn’t find a way.

Where can I get free web hosting, but use an already purchased domain name?

Hi! I bought a domain name for my small business the other day and am ready to begin building my website. However, I’m a little stuck in finding a good, reputable web host that is free and will allow me to use the already purchased domain name. Storage and size are not an issue – most of my images will be hosted off-site anyways. Any suggestions, Yahoo community?
